Mathematics is offered at KDC at all levels. In Years 7–10 it forms part of the compulsory core curriculum program and all students study Mathematics.

In Years 11 and 12, Mathematics is not compulsory but may be a prerequisite for some tertiary courses. Before students embark on their VCE, the college provides extensive course counselling to ensure appropriate pathways and subjects are selected.

All Year 7 students are entry tested and those identified as needing extra help are offered a place in a Mathematics Foundations class. Students are then provided with intensive support in small classes in preparation for readmission into mainstream Maths classes the following year.

Some students also choose to attend ‘Maths Club’ which is provided for in one lunchtime and one after-school session. Students interested in Maths enjoy the extra opportunities the Math Club provides them.
